Important Articles for Farmington town meeting
The Town of Farmington has voiced opposition to the Franklin County Commissioners cutting over $200,000 from Community and Economic Development services from 10 Community organizations. The Town voted at Town meetings in 2018, 2019, and will vote again in 2020 to take their share of the County budgeted items($18,000) and distribute them directly to the organizations.
County Commissioners Charles Webster and Commissioner Terry Brann strongly oppose Farmington’s move and have withheld $18,000 in County allocated budget funds in 2018 to one nonprofit -and $40,001 in 2019 to 3 nonprofits.
